Ed Shadid Intro
This is the introduction to a campaign DVD that was distributed by Dr. Ed Shadid, a Green Party candidate in Oklahoma City. Dr. Shadid had hosted Ralph Nader at a campaign event, which was filmed for the DVD. This was shot on location at an apartment overlooking Oklahoma City. The spacious apartment gave us the benefit of acquiring great depth of field as well as a nice backdrop.
Kelly Hodgson
Kelly Hodgson is a one-of-a-kind hair stylist in the Oklahoma City area. This video features his unique talent as a hair designer, following his progress as he builds a “look” for his client. We filmed this using the Panasonic HPX-170 and utilized time-remapping to speed up some parts of the video.
Southern Hills Baptist Church News
This is one of several weekend news videos that we produced for Southern Hills Baptist Church. These videos would play during a church service and would serve as video “announcements” about upcoming events in the church’s calendar. A host was filmed in front of a greenscreen, allowing us to create backdrops and other elements unique to what the host was announcing.
Zija Launch
Zija is a unique brand of health supplements derived from the Moringa plant. When we were approached about doing a video for the website of a Zija representative, we knew that we wanted a unified, organic “look” to the entire video. Part of the look was a clean, pearly white as a backdrop and calm, organic greens for graphics and other elements in the video. These colors were used with two goals in mind: white to denote the healthy, “pure” benefits of the product, and green to signify the organic origins of Zija.
Needs
“Needs” is centered around several narratives with one unifying theme: people in need. This video was produced for Youth America, a national youth camp based in Oklahoma. The idea for this video was to keep it simple. This meant no graphics and relying on the camera to capture the story. Much of it was filmed at 60fps and slowed down to 24fps to set a contemplative tone for the narratives. Color correction and a slight vignette were subtly added to supplement the tone.
